Your questions, answered
Do I need to know anyone to join events?
You don't need to know anyone to join, and you will certainly meet other people! We have 3 missions at REALITY:
- 01To become the easiest place to make friends in Đà Nẵng.
- 02To be a platform for communities.
- 03To become a bridge between locals and foreigners in Đà Nẵng.
Some events do have entry fees and some ask for pre-registration; we indicate these on our weekly schedule, and on the posters for events. If you've got any questions, please join our WhatsApp Community or message our Instagram or Facebook pages.
What are the rules of the space?
- 01Be kind and respectful to other staff and guests—if you make other people uncomfortable, we'll have the uncomfortable task of asking you to leave.
- 02Everyone using the space must make a purchase. Unfortunately, money exists, and we need it to stay open. Perhaps someday we will become a park, but for now, we are a business.
- 03We do not allow outside food or drink, except when pre-approved by management. This is both because of the reason above, and because we want to be sure that anything consumed on our premises meets our safety and quality standards.
- 04Smoking tobacco is allowed on the 1st- and 3rd-floor patios. Smoking of other things is not allowed anywhere.
- 05Tiny pets kept on a leash and with you at all times are welcome to visit, but please be conscientious of other patron's and your pet's comfort.
- 06Coworking and holding classes is welcomed, but unless you rent the space (described in the Private Events section) we cannot guarantee quiet.
For Public Community Events
All events and guests must follow our .
- 01We can work with you to reserve the amount of space needed for your event, and help set up the space and equipment to facilitate your planned activities.
- 02For event materials and announcements, we're happy to help spread the word and collaborate on online marketing (see: How REALITY Can Help with Promotion). Please follow our brand guidelines below so we can help spread the word, and please make sure to include something along the lines of "Please buy a drink from REALITY to support the business!" in event descriptions so that guests aren't surprised or feel like they got tricked into something.
- 03If you're holding a public event that has an entry fee, you can either rent the space (as detailed in the section below), or split the cost of entry with REALITY 50/50.
- 04Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the event to help facilitate setup—ensure the tables and chairs are arranged as you need, ensure the right cords are there to connect with the projector or speakers, etc.
For Private or For-Profit Events
All events and guests must follow our .
- 01To reserve a whole room (and restrict access to other guests), or to present a commercial good or service, we require a rental fee — based on the room, day of the week, time of day, and length of the event. See the rate card below.
- 02If you've got special requests or requirements, please discuss them with us as we're scheduling the event to make sure we can work them out.

Fine print
- 2-hour minimum on private space bookings.
- Wine corkage: 400k₫ per bottle.
- Other outside food and drink only with prior approval from management.
Art Shows & Exhibitions
All events and guests must follow our .
We welcome artists of all genres and media, though this form is specifically for visual art installation and exhibition. If you're interested in holding a performance or another form of time-based art, please use the Event Proposal Form.
We will do our best to accommodate requests and preferences, but please understand we are a very busy very multi-use space, and we basically always need all the help we can get :)
Guidelines
- 01Due to the amount of work involved in hanging art, producing online and physical marketing, and scheduling for opening parties, we strongly preference shows that can stay up for a full month.
- 02We ask for a 30% commission on pieces sold at REALITY.
- 03Due to the mores of our beloved Việt Nam, there are some subject matters that are difficult or impossible for us to show.
- 04We cannot warranty or ensure the work hung at REALITY, though so far we have an excellent track record of respectful guests and undamaged art.
- 05We do accept queries for group shows so long as there is a clear curator or point of contact; interfacing with potentially dozens of artists at once far exceeds our bandwidth.
